Terms and conditions

1. Eligibility

  • Applicants must be youth workers aged 18-30 from European countries.

  • Applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in cultural exchange, sustainability, and community engagement.

2. Application process

  • Submit an online application form, including a personal statement and reference letters.

  • Applications must be received by the specified deadline to be considered.

3. Selection criteria

  • Selection will be based on the applicant's demonstrated interest, commitment to the program values, and the strength of their personal statement and references.

  • Selected participants will be notified via email.

4. Financial support

  • Travel, accommodation, and meal expenses are covered by the European Commission Erasmus+ programme (KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers activity).

  • Participants are responsible for any additional personal expenses.

5. Program commitment

  • Participants are expected to fully engage in all program activities, workshops, and community projects.

  • Respect for local traditions and cultural practices is mandatory.

6. Health and safety:

  • Participants must have valid health insurance for the duration of the program.

  • Adherence to safety guidelines and instructions from program facilitators is required.

7. Code of conduct:

  • Participants must maintain a respectful and collaborative attitude towards peers, facilitators, and local residents.

  • Any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the programme.

8. Intellectual property:

  • Any materials or projects created during the program are the intellectual property of the Islander Literacy program and can be used for promotional purposes.

9. Data Protection:

  • Personal data collected during the application process will be used solely for program purposes and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Cancellation Policy:

  • If a participant needs to cancel their participation, they must notify the program organizers as soon as possible.

  • The program reserves the right to make changes to the schedule or activities due to unforeseen circumstances.
